Ecosystem

An ecosystem is a geographic area where plants, animals, and other organisms, as well as weather and landscapes, work together to form a bubble of life.

A federal-state plan to restore the nearly destroyed ecosystem of the Florida everglades is beginning to pay off. The plan, upon its projected completion in 2030, will restore the ecosystem in the park's 1.5 million acres, about half of what originally covered the region.
